Blog LOVE Vol. I

Posted in event, wedding on July 24th, 2009 by Breck

A few of my favorite shots from the past few weeks.

These first six shots are from Tatum and Matt’s wedding at the The Unitarian Universalist Church in San Rafael. Tatum’s super yellow bouquet was awesome!

For the two following weddings, I had the opportunity to shoot with the great Sandra Reid from Sandra Reid Photography! We had a blast at the Legion of Honor in San Francisco, the Pacific Athletic Club in San Mateo, and the Brazilian Room at Tilden Park in Berkeley.

More to come…

Michelle and Paul were so laid back and just enjoyed the day, and the photos show it! Beverly Ann Bonner from the Bradley Estate did a fantastic job coordinating and keeping us on schedule!

Wedding Dress

Eat your heart out, big bulky wedding veils…

Croquet at a wedding. No better way to relax.

We snuck up to the third floor of the Bradley Estate and got a few photos with this awesome wallpaper.

Killer dress + Killer suit = Killer combo

Wedding Cake

Llamas!

After petting the Llamas we threw them on the grill. A bit gamey but it was ok overall ;)

Michael Jackson seemed to really get the crowd going during the reception. Just look at Paul’s hat in the photo below! MJ just HAD to pass away when I was writing this blog post. RIP Mr. Jackson…wedding reception music will never be the same again…

Thanks Paul and Michelle! Wishing you all the best in your new life together!
More New England Wedding Photography to come.

Barbara + Lyman = Married! Oakland, CA

Posted in wedding on June 6th, 2009 by Breck

Barbara and Lyman were so fun to work with, and it was great to have the opportunity to photograph their traditional Japanese ceremony. They had their wedding ceremony at the Buddhist Church of Oakland, and wedding reception at Caffè Verbena. Barbara had some KILLER dresses for the ceremony and reception, check out the photos to take a look!

Check out that Kimono! Barbara had it imported from Japan. So COOL!

Instead of flowers, Barbara had a fan, and the bridesmaids had a fan, a small sword, and a purse.

The tea drinking ceremony.

I love the blue on Barbara’s dress! It’s always nice to see a unique wedding dress once in awhile.

The green tea cake fit the Japanese wedding perfectly.

Barbara looking STUNNING in her red dress at the reception.

Her friends and family seem to agree too.

Wedding: Nicole + Nate = Married! Saratoga, CA

Posted in wedding on April 21st, 2009 by Breck

You might remember Nicole and Nate from their earlier engagement session. Their wedding was at the Saratoga Federated Church and reception was at the Saratoga Foothill Club. Both great venues with interesting architecture for photos!

Nate wanted to make sure his breath would be fresh for that first kiss. Photo by my assistant, Jeff.

LOVE this one!

LOOOOVE this one!

LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE this one!

Great moment right after the ceremony.

Our new assistant, showing us how it’s done. Photo by Jeff.

Erin + Michael – Hotel Kabuki, San Francisco

Posted in wedding on April 10th, 2009 by Breck

I usually keep my blog posts to 10 photos or so, but there are just too many photos that I like from Erin and Michael’s wedding at The Hotel Kabuki in San Francisco. Japanese Tea Gardens, architeture and a samurai sword to cut the cake. Can’t get much better than that. Oh yes and the Jewish dances. There is only one thing better than Jewish dances at weddings: Jewish dances at weddings in a Japanese Hotel!

These first two shots are by my assistant, Jeff.

Isn’t that the coolest wedding contract ever? Michael and Erin designed it together. Michael does freelance Graphic Design so if you need an awesome designer, let me know and I’ll get you in touch…
